My Favorite Things: Disposable Camera's

I do own a digital SLR but when it comes down to school trips and fun days out you don't want to carry around heavy cameras. Everyone will use a disposable camera in these situations. They manage to capture the light so it reflects the fun you were having that day. There is something quite magical about the whole process of developing photos which you haven't seen, of course some of them don't turn out great but most are really beautiful and hold prized place on my wall. They don't allow you to delete the photos that you look tres dodge in which makes you feel liberated from the pressures of looking perfect.

Now all of us girls have girl crushes. The girls that we just think WOW you are so amazingly amazing. Probably at the age of five your girl crush was sleeping beauty... I know mine was :p . At the moment though I have recently discovered this most amazingly amazing person. By discovered recently I mean that I just found out her name yesterday but I have seen tonnes of pictures of her all over tumblr and I was like 'who is this gorgeous person?' and then I can't remember how but I just found out. Her name, if you haven't read the title is Sky Ferreria, she is half Brazilian/Portuguese just like meeeee and is apparently a singer/songwriter but although this sounds reaaalllllyyy shallow I don't really like her music but I love her individual fashion and hair. Oh yeah before I forget she is also super stunning.

MY FAVOURITE SCENE

OK I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS MOVIE. I love Wes Anderson's productions and this was no exception. I had high hopes for this movie and it did not disappoint. It is a beautifully simple plot and uses it's innocence as a moving touch. Using his trademark stile of childlike stories the movie becomes touching and endearing. The clothes and scenery are nothing less then spectacularly put together. It is about a love story of two kids that are emotionally unstable and they run away together. You can tell how much work Anderson puts into every shot. Every frame is beautiful. A wonderfully written story. The two young actors perform amazingly in this movie that never loses the themes of young love, innocence, and the need to escape.

The Hopeless Romantic

There is something so amazing about being a hopeless romantic. It is a whole genre of sappiness. It is endearing and awkward. I love this whole romanticism of being a hopeless romantic. For generations  writers, poets, directors and photographers have tried to convey the teen girl hopelessness. The colours textures, photo's and movies give teen girls a reason to be a teen. The photos of teen heart throbs taped onto walls. Heart shaped candy. Pink. Yellow haze and 60's songs. Writing, 'love you' on your eyes and blinking at your hot teacher. Hoarding. Watching Grease a bazillion times while eating junk. Fluffy toys. And last of all sleepovers with girl gangs! Girl gangs in movies usually comprise a fierce set of characters with badass attitudes spitting out memorable one-liners. Not only do they have eternally cool nicknames, but they also possess some of the best style seen on the silver screen. At school they are un-mixable un-changeable types of girls.  And whilst a movie plays on these characteristics and makes them fantasised and magical these ideals are un-achievable. But movies and magazines keep covering us in pink frilly heart shaped blindfolds.

The Bowl-less Sundae

Step 1: Put a scoop of ice cream in your mouth.
Step 2: Don’t eat it.
Step 3: Spray some whipped cream into your mouth.
Step 4: Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped cream.
Step 5: Eat the mixture.
Step 6: Feel awesome and satisfied.

The beauty of the bowl-less sundae is that there’s minimal cleanup. You also get all the flavor of a sundae without having to make an actual sundae. But beware, this isn’t for amateur midnight snackers. In order to pull the bowl-less sundae off successfully, you’re going to need a really solid understanding of your gag reflex and a good sense of the radius of your mouth.
